Two Step Process for the University of Colorado Hospital (UCH) BS Worksite Program:

Graduates of the Bachelor of Science Worksite program may be invited to apply to the Graduate Nurse Residency Program at the University of Colorado Hospital. Click here for a link to UCH Graduate Nurse Residency program.
- College of Nursing requirements:
There are also 2 major steps in the College of Nursing application process:
Pre-Review to determine if an applicant meets our prerequisite and GPA requirements.
AND,
Submission of application which will be mailed to those that have met for UCH and College of Nursing requirements as determined by the Pre-Review. Prerequisites must be taken at only regionally accredited colleges or universities. However, prerequisites are not available through the College of Nursing.

Note: Each of the above steps has their individual application processes and deadlines. It is the responsibility of the applicant to insure that all these deadlines are met. Please contact the College of Nursing at 303-724-1812 to see if pre-requisite requirements will be met by the required deadline.
Important Policies to Remember: (for the College of Nursing portion of the UCH BS Worksite program)
- 10 Year Time Limit on Prerequisites. Prerequisites must be no more than 10 years old by pre-review deadline of April 1. Courses that are over 10 years old by the deadline are not transferable and therefore must be repeated. Electives can be more than 10 years old.
- Overall GPA of 3.00 or better by September 1.
- Bachelor's degrees must be on a transcript by September 1 to be eligible to take only 4 prerequisites. Click here for more information.
- It is the policy of the College of Nursing to require all applicants to the College whose primary spoken language is not English to submit Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores as part of the application process. (All international applicants to the College of Nursing must submit a TOEFL score.) Effective July 1, 2009, a total score of at least 560 on the paper-based TOEFL and 50 or above on the Test of Spoken English (TSE), 220 on the computer-based TOEFL and 50 or above on the TSE, or 83 on the Internet-based TOEFL with 26 or above on the Spoken portion is required. Potential applicants that do not currently meet the minimum TOEFL requirement may participate in the College’s free English as a Second Language (ESL) workshops that are offered on Saturdays throughout the school year. Current students, faculty and staff at the College of Nursing may also participate in the ESL workshops at no cost.

Applicant Responsibility: It is the responsibility of the applicant to plan ahead to ensure that deadlines for all parts of the application are met.
Traditional Option: This program is a full-time program only. The pace of this program facilitates integration of learning and acknowledges that students balance a number of responsibilities while completing their nursing education.

CON to mail application materials and instructions to those deemed eligible to apply during the Pre-review Process. On-line application is not available for this program. |

Postmark deadline for paper application and application fee. On-line application is not available for this program. |
September 1 |
Postmark deadline for all official transcripts for the final Spring and Summer semesters and TOEFL scores (if needed). |
First week, October |
UCDenver College of Nursing to mail out admission decision letters. |
If any deadline falls on a weekend or a holiday, the deadline is automatically extended to the next working day.
